Daphne Bouquet.

I made a bouquet of Daphne recently and I love this flower so much.   I know I go on and on about it.  It's a perfect winter flower.  It's actually a big bush, and blooms quite a lot.

Daphne a winter flower and bush.
Daphne is beautiful and smells even better.

Bare Naked Ladies, Flowers, Northern California, Shasta County

One of my favorite flowers naked ladies.  Known as naked ladies because they do not have any leaves just one thick stem.
For the past couple years, there have been naked lady volunteers in the yard.  They have such beautiful pink flowers.  They seem to show up in new places every year.

Sundial Bridge over the Sacramento River, Shasta County

The Sundial Bridge is always a favorite to visit and explore for locals and visitors.  The Turtle Bay Sundial Bridge is a wonderful walking bridge landmark designed by Santiago Calatrava.  You can visit his website here.

This wonderful piece of architecture is a must see if you are going to be in or passing by Shasta County.

The bridge is very well designed, and is an actual sundial.

Riverview Restaurant on the Sacramento River, Anderson

Are you looking for a new restaurant to test out this weekend?

In the beginning of June we had a lovely brunch out at the Riverview Restaurant.  Located right on the the Sacramento river, and not your average restaurant.  They are open for special events, and you can also book the restaurant and patio for your event, weddings for instance.

They are open for brunch every Sunday.  It was a gorgeous spring like day, and lunch was fabulous.  The food was good, the service great, and the view, well, let's just say, you should go and see for yourself.  Make a reservation and tell them you want a river view.

Well my business partner found this wonderful new office for us. It is very bright and colorful! It was a yoga studio, and also a Hair Studio for children, now it is ours!

The office is quite large. It has a small entry way, two side rooms, one is also a small office, and a bathroom.

More information to follow! Here are some pictures.

Random: Phil and Flowers in November

The other morning Phil the cat was in the yard with me for a brief moment. As I was petting him I noticed that there were some mushrooms growing in the corner of the yard. Also, some pretty flowers which were wet from the rain.

Tomato Plants, Shasta County

I planted some tomato plants on the side yard, but they did not do so well this year. They grew very tall but I was not watering them often enough, so there were no tomatoes. Luckily my cousin has been bringing us some of her delicious garden tomatoes. Including this special heirloom tomato.

Another scary spider! Does anyone know the type?

I have nothing against spiders as long as they are not crawling on me. I like it when the have huge webs, and these spiders usually do. I believe this is the same type of spider that I posted about before. They are scary looking spiders.

Naked Pink Lady Flowers, Redding, CA

These flowers are so beautiful, I love them. I never saw them growing up in Trinity County and only began to notice them mainly in Marin County. Some appeared in my Mother's yard these past few years, volunteers. They moved from one side of the yard to another this year.

Spider in the Yard

There are many spiders around here, I am not sure what kind of spider this is. Does any one know? I have seen this type before. My dad just found a black widow spider under one of our patio chairs. Nice! I wish I had a picture of that one. This spider in the picture, has a huge web, which can barely been seen around the spider.
