Flowers with insects, at the Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay's McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

I went on another trip to the Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay Gardens in Redding, California  This local attraction is free, that is the wonderful part.  The bridge is free, the walking and biking trails are free, and consequently they actually go through all the way to the Shasta Dam from the bridge.   It offers so much, exploration park, museum, cafe, outdoor playground for children, old monolith, animals, and a seasonal butterfly exhibition.  It is quite spectacular and you could easily spend a few hours there with your family or friends.

Argiope Aurantia - black and yellow garden spider.
Also known as Writing Spider, Banana Spider or Corn Spider.
Harmless to humans.

Another scary spider! Does anyone know the type?

I have nothing against spiders as long as they are not crawling on me. I like it when the have huge webs, and these spiders usually do. I believe this is the same type of spider that I posted about before. They are scary looking spiders.

Cherry Blossoms and Honeybees

The day before spring was a beautiful day and I photographed bees around the cherry trees. The tree was buzzing with bees, so to say. It was nice to see so many honey bee's as I read so many article's about their decline. Go honeybee's!!! :-) We shall have many cherries this year I am sure!

Snail and Orange Crayon

This series was taken some time ago. I found the snail and the crayon there on the front walkway and thought it was peculiar and funny. I have no idea where the crayon came from.

Spider in the Yard

There are many spiders around here, I am not sure what kind of spider this is. Does any one know? I have seen this type before. My dad just found a black widow spider under one of our patio chairs. Nice! I wish I had a picture of that one. This spider in the picture, has a huge web, which can barely been seen around the spider.
