Sunday Brunch, Homemade French Toast with Clementines

Pugliese bread sliced thick, dipped in milk, eggs, with vanilla, and cinnamon. Add some maple syrup and voila breakfast!

Happy Valentine's Day! Valentine Chocolate


This year I made fine chocolates, using Callebaut Milk Chocolate, Belgian (I believe) and Scharffen Berger Bittersweet Dark Chocolate, out of Berkeley or San Francisco.




I tried to write on the chocolates, but writing with warm chocolate is not easy. Towards the end of all the chocolates I realized that the cooler chocolate actually worked better for writing.













I made several different kinds; chocolate with toasted almonds, chocolate with toasted pecans and caramel, and chocolate with caramel in the center. Delicious!

Broccoli, delicious, nutritious, and in your own backyard.



My aunt and uncle have some broccoli growing in their backyard. We had some sunlight very briefly during that week long winter storm, and I went outside and realized they were growing broccoli.

How cool is that? Here are three of the still life photographs that I took.
